Description of your work: The inspiration of NucleusPDX’s jewelry stems from zoology, biology, botany, and astrology. Basically like a sparkly crash course through a natural history museum. Silhouettes of animals, skulls, and celestial images are transformed into sassy bold bling. All pieces are hand made from bronze, silver, or 14 K gold fill wire.
Ellerie Nagy is the brains and brawn behind NucleusPDX. She has been a part time jeweler for the last ten years and has taught classes in jewelry casting and smithing. Currently she is using her metal smithing skills to pay med school bills. Ellerie is studying to be Naturopathic Doctor at the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland Oregon. Before studying medicine, she studied biomedical engineering and art at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. She enjoys flexing and stretching both her creative and technical mind.
